survival

spent yesterday and today on a survival overnight with my son Jordan. we went up to camp tall turf with his fifth grade class. we had to build a lean to shelters and cook dinner and breakfast over an open fire. we ended up on a unintended five mile hike Monday night after a game of wolf pack. then it rained (first time in weeks) and the few holes that were left in the roof of our shelter were right over my sleeping bag. all in all it wasn’t bad. really enjoyed spending time with the big kid and passing on some of my outdoor skills from my boy scout days
