boasting about serving

“If you want to claim credit, claim it for God.”
What you say about yourself means nothing in God’s work. It’s what God says about you that makes the difference. 2 Cor. 10:17-182 Cor. 10:17-18
English: Contemporary English Version (1999) - CEV

17 . The Scriptures say, “If you want to brag, then brag about the Lord.” 18 You may brag about yourself, but the only approval that counts is the Lord's approval.

in the midst of the asia tragedy, seem the us govt thinks that it should boast about how much it is doing to help the victims. now i have no doubt that “we” are sending a lot of relief supplies etc but is it necessary to have a swagger about it.

even more disappointing is that colin powell my jamaican brother was the one paraded out to do the bragging.

if all we have is from God so. we are blessed so how hard would it be to just go about our business helping others in a humble and respectful way, instead of taking the focus off the suffering of the victims to tout our contribution.
