The Davinci Code, the recent elections and the political voice of some religious folks has got people asking. Who is this Jesus that they follow? What was he really like? How would he respond to the actions of his current followers? Over the next several weeks Mosaic Life will dive into these questions as a community. We will explore the life and many faces of Jesus in the scriptures as we try to be more like him in our daily living. Who was he? Who did he say he was? For eight weeks we will explore images of Jesus in scripture and through the lens of our culture. We’ll explore who the images of Jesus in the scripture match up with the images of Jesus in movies, music and other and cultural media. Our explorations will include: Jesus as Lord: Jesus as the Prince of Peace: Jesus as fighter: Jesus as Healer: Jesus as Lover of our soul: Jesus as Friend: Jesus as Savior: Each week scripture texts for the bible will be available to read and explore and deepen our perspective on Jesus.
